I was heading out to the Toronto Islands to do some panoramas of the downtown skyline. The islands have a small population of permanent residents who live in this community of mainly island cottages but upgrading and remodels abound and one can see many lovely gardens walking through the streets of the small inhabited island. The majority of the other two islands are parkland and a small children’s amusement area & zoo.
The short ferry ride in the evening finds island residents returning from work in the city and most are commuting by bicycle on the pedestrian ferry. This relaxed resident with the shadow of his transportation made for an interesting click.
